- NBA Philadelphia 76ers Jerseys The Philadelphia 76ers, a NBA professional basketball team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is part of the US Basketball Professional League (NBA) Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. As a veteran team in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers did not set up their home stadium in Philadelphia at the beginning of the team, nor did they name the 76ers. Instead, they played a Syracuse national team. The Syracuse National Team formed in 1937 joined the NBA in 1949 with the merger of the NBL (National Basketball League) and ABB (American Basketball Association). In the 65 years of the NBA, the 76ers won the league championships in the 1954-55, 1966-67, and 1982-83 seasons, as well as nine and a half district champions.
